Refund Policy
This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and billing issues are handled for Cache student subscriptions purchased through Razorpay.
Last updated: May 21, 2026
1. Recurring Student Subscriptions
Cache student plans are monthly recurring subscriptions. When you purchase a paid plan, your subscription renews automatically each month unless it is cancelled before the next billing cycle.
Paid access is activated only after Razorpay verifies the subscription and our server confirms the payment status.
2. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription anytime from the subscription page when self-service cancellation is available. If self-service cancellation is not available, you can request cancellation by contacting support@cacheai.us from the email connected to your Cache account.
Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund payments that have already been successfully processed.
After cancellation, your paid access may remain active until the end of the current billing period unless Razorpay or Cache marks the subscription as cancelled, halted, inactive, failed, or expired earlier.
3. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are reviewed manually. A refund may be approved when:
- You were charged more than once for the same subscription period.
- Razorpay shows a successful charge, but paid access was not activated due to a Cache system issue.
- A payment was deducted but the subscription was not created or verified correctly.
- There was a billing error caused by Cache or the payment provider.
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the payment date.
4. Non-Refundable Cases
Cache generally does not provide refunds for:
- Partial month usage.
- Forgetting to cancel before renewal.
- Change of mind after paid access has been activated.
- Not using the subscription after purchase.
- Access lost because of account misuse, policy violations, or inaccurate account information.
- Requests submitted more than 7 days after payment.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email support@cacheai.us from the email connected to your Cache account.
Include:
- Your full name.
- Your Cache account email.
- The subscription plan.
- Payment date.
- Razorpay payment ID or transaction reference, if available.
- A short explanation of the billing issue.
We may ask for additional information to verify the payment and account ownership.
6. Refund Processing Time
If a refund is approved, it will be processed back to the original payment method through Razorpay or the relevant payment channel.
Approved refunds may take 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
7. Failed, Halted, or Expired Subscriptions
If Razorpay reports that a subscription is failed, halted, cancelled, inactive, or expired, Cache may remove or reduce paid access until the subscription becomes active again.
Students can still use any free or trial-level access available to their account, if eligible.
8. Trial Access
Cache may offer a 14-day trial for student accounts. Trial access is limited and does not require a paid subscription unless the user chooses to upgrade.
Trials cannot be repeatedly restarted or used to avoid paid subscription limits.
9. No Automated Refund Dashboard
Cache does not currently provide automated refunds, prorated refunds, or an in-app refund dashboard. Refunds are reviewed manually through support.
10. Policy Updates
Cache may update this Refund Policy as our subscription, payment, or cancellation process changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
