Cache

Trust & Safety

Cache exists to connect candidates and recruiters honestly. This page explains the rules recruiters agree to, the consent candidates keep over their own profiles, what Cache does and does not promise, and how we act when someone breaks the rules.

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Recruiter Standards

Every recruiter on Cache agrees to a small set of ground rules. These are not aspirations. They are conditions for keeping an account.

  • Real company, real role. Recruiters must use their actual company name, their actual title, and describe roles that actually exist. No shell companies, no invented positions, no bait postings used to collect resumes.
  • No spam or misleading messages. Do not send bulk, templated, or off-topic messages. Do not misrepresent salary, work authorization support, location, remote status, or the stage of the hiring process.
  • No harassment. No repeated contact after a candidate has declined, no personal attacks, no discriminatory language, no pressure tactics.
  • No misuse of candidate data. Candidate profiles, contact details, resumes, and messages are for evaluating people for the role you contacted them about. They are not for resale, for outside marketing lists, for training external models, or for sharing outside your hiring team.
  • No payment requests from candidates. A recruiter on Cache will never ask a candidate for money — not for an interview, not for a placement, not for training, equipment, visa processing, background checks, or any other reason. This is a hard line. If it happens, report it.

Candidate Consent

A candidate profile on Cache belongs to the candidate. Recruiters see a limited view (name, general skills, education level) when browsing. The full profile — resume, contact details, project detail, links — is shared with a specific recruiter only when the candidate opts in for that role, whether by applying, accepting a match, or approving a share request.

Candidates can withdraw consent at any time from their profile settings. Withdrawing consent removes future access; it does not retract information a recruiter has already viewed while consent was in place.

What Cache Does Not Promise

Cache is a tool for finding matches and running a cleaner hiring process. It is not a guarantee of any outcome. Cache does not guarantee interviews, job offers, hiring decisions, salary, visa sponsorship, or continued employment. Matching scores and AI suggestions are aids, not verdicts — every real decision is made by the recruiter or the candidate.

Paying for a subscription does not change ranking, matching, or recruiter behaviour. See our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.

Enforcement — Three-Strike Policy

Reports of recruiter misconduct are reviewed by Cache. For ordinary violations of the Recruiter Standards above, we follow a three-strike approach:

  • Strike 1 — Warning. Written notice of the specific behaviour, what rule it broke, and what to change. The account continues.
  • Strike 2 — Restriction. Temporary loss of outbound messaging, new posting creation, or candidate access for a defined period. Existing conversations may be paused.
  • Strike 3 — Removal. Permanent removal of the recruiter, and where appropriate the associated company account, from Cache.

Some violations are severe enough to skip the strike ladder and trigger immediate suspension pending review:

  • Requesting money from a candidate.
  • Harassment, threats, or discriminatory conduct.
  • Selling, leaking, or otherwise misusing candidate data.
  • Impersonating a company or another person.
  • Attempts to defraud candidates or the platform.

Strikes stay on record for twelve months from the date of the decision. Recruiters may appeal any strike or suspension by replying to the notification email within fourteen days.

Report a Violation

If a recruiter has broken any of the rules above — or you have seen something on Cache that feels wrong — tell us. Reports are read by a person, not an automated system, and the reporter is kept confidential.
